I remain astounded by just how much freelance writing work here is out there — and in so many niches. Clients need everything from product reviews, to social media content, to ongoing post for their blogs. And I’m seeing many more full-time, remote positions– with benefits. Good luck applying!

Freelance Writing Jobs
1. High Quality Content Creators Wanted: 750 to 1500 Word Articles/Guide: We are seeking a high quality content creator with manufacturing industry experience. Research and sources required. Please send us a few writing samples.
Rate: $75-$100/article.
2. Tax book writers to rewrite and edit existing materials: We are looking to hire technical writers in tax for a new series of textbooks. No research is required. Writers will use existing source materials to rewrite. A paid sample will be required before hire.
Rate: Submit per-page bid.
3. Lead Writer and Podcast Journalist: Looking for a journalist to serve as lead writer for human interest podcasts addressing challenges faced by the unemployed in today’s job market. This series will include up to 12 monthly podcasts which may be aired on one or more local NPR affiliate radio stations. For each episode, the selected lead journalist will write two, 5-7 minute narrative vignettes on a topic related to unemployment, job-seeker challenges, and/or employer challenges finding skilled workers.
Rate: $300/episode.
4. Grant Writer: For documentary file in production. The film promotes diversity and nonviolence – two very timely issues! – and so far 20 celebrities have given on-camera interviews. And we already have a dynamite 6-minute promo reel up on VIMEO that is receiving fantastic feedback.
Rate: You will take 10% of each grant you file in our behalf.

5. Freelance Magazine Writers: Seeking talented writers for print edition motorcycle magazine. Applicants must have base knowledge of motorcycles and rider lifestyle. Must be previously published and able to provide relevant links to work.

6. Medical & Science Writers: We’re a marketing company with a purpose: we provide Search Engine Optimization and Thought Leadership services for well-managed, ethical companies.
For some of our current open positions, ideal candidates are medical professionals or medical students with the ability to supplement personal knowledge with online research.
We are looking for writers with a background in sleep apnea, medical field research, or medical news to educate patients on sleep apnea causes, symptoms, and long-term complications. Full-time, telecommuting position.

7. Tech Writers: We are a software training company looking for Python developers/enthusiasts/writers to create a variety of Python content for us. We’re working on content that will be geared for both technical and non-technical people.
Rate: 20 cents/word.
8. Part Time Blogger Needed: District Media, LLC seeks an experienced writer to join our content team on a part time basis. We are looking for someone to produce unique and compelling blog posts that focus on the topical concerns of everyday Americans and longer-form thematic content on financial and lifestyle topics
Rate: $50 per 500-word article.
9. Freelance Writer: We’re interested in hiring a freelance writer to help with content for our online, clean energy publication. Articles will be researched 500 to 1000 word articles on the topics of electricity, green living, energy, the environment, climate change and more.

10. Online Content Manager: Women’s Nutrition Business. I’m the founder of a nutrition practice dedicated to helping women rebalance their hormones with food. I reach a community of over 340K of women. I’m looking for a long-term team member, a content manager, who is passionate about health and also has in-depth knowledge of women’s health and nutrition.
Rate: $25 to $30 per hour depending on the experience. The workload is estimated at 20 hours per week. During busy months like pre-launches, it might go up to 30 to 40 hours per week. Start date: August 1st.
11. Multiple Freelance Writers Sought: Credible, a growing fintech company, is looking for freelance writers to help consumers understand how technology is changing the world of personal finance, and how to take advantage of these changes. We’re looking for news junkies with analytical and writing chops and a desire to help consumers decipher complex issues. Journalism experience is a plus but not required.

12. Education Writer: Amco International Education Services is an innovative educational technology company that has developed a unique, research-based teaching and learning methodology for English learners in K-12 classrooms. The Product Development department seeks a freelance creative writer to aid in the development and editing of new programs and materials. Estimated hours per week: 10 to 15 hrs (minimum)

15. Freelance Blog Writers: We are looking for blog writers that will help us produce engaging content. Most posts will be geared towards strengthening marriage relationships and youth empowerment. We will provide guidance for each post.

16. Food Writer/Blogger: We’re a new cookie mix company and looking for a writer to write fun, informative and easy-to- read articles. Our product is a low carb, gluten free cookie mix. Requirements: Word count per article/blog: 450-600. Keywords: Low Carb, Gluten Free, Vegan.

17. “List” Writers: I’m looking for clever writers who are knowledgeable about the “best websites” that can write 10, 500-word articles about individual websites/web services and then a cornerstone 500 word Top 10 article. The sites can be in any niche.
Rate: $200.
18. Romance Writers: I am looking for a talented writer who has experience writing in the romance genre. Ideally, this would be a start of a new series. The exact details for the stories will be discussed during application. In general, the content is a character-driven story about the romantic attraction.
Rate: $300.
19. Legal Blogger: We are ERP litigation attorneys and are looking for someone to write ERP-related articles for our law firm website blog on a weekly basis. Articles will be 300-500 words.
Rate: Approx $600/month (submit your rate per article).
20. Technical Article Writer: We are seeking a talented writer to create technical related content for our blog and social profiles that will attract ideal clients to us like bees to honey! You will research, outline, create and edit content. A typical week would involve researching, writing and editing 4 articles (500-750 words).
Rate: $30/article.
21. Legal Article Writer: I need 20 articles on criminal defense topics and workers’ compensation for client blogs. Need to be 500-700 words with a native english speaking writer. I don’t like fluffy articles, need specific content.
Rate: $25/article ($500 for entire project).
Note: These are the types of orders I got when I first started writing SEO content in 2007. Although the rate is low, clients like this tend to have a lot of work that they pass on to you the more comfortable they become with you.
22. Content Editor: Full-time, remote position. GFI Software is seeking a Content Editor to support the execution of our content marketing strategy. All candidates must be able to do write according to best practices for the web, including SEO optimization.
Rate: $40/page (250-500 words).
25. Freelance SEO Writer/Editor: The perfect candidate for this position is really a gifted, seasoned writer or editor that has generated SEO content also has a solid familiarity with internet marketing.
The candidate would also have to be accountable, self-motivated and nicely organized. The anticipated workload is going to probably be 5-40 (500 words) content to be written weekly. We expect that the content will require 30 minutes or so to edit (consequently that is a part-time occupation requiring no longer than 10 hours weekly.
Rate: $15-$30/hour.
